Lyle Means, Owner and President of L & L Specialists, and his wife, Joan, Owner and Secretary/Treasurer, started their insurance loss and floor covering business in 1976. It was a natural turn in Lyle's career, having spent ten years in insurance loss and floor covering sales, service, and installation.
In addition to her duties as Secretary/Treasurer, Joan is the Office Manager and part of the sales team. Joan uses her artistic abilities to assist clients in their selection of floor coverings. It can be a daunting experience selecting the floor covering that will meet the needs of your family or company, and Joan's expertise in this area is a definite asset.
In 2003, Rob Moher joined the L & L family as an Estimator as well as a Sales person. After joining L & L, Rob and his wife, Jody, added to their own family in 2005 with the birth of their son, Tyler. Rob has been a welcome addition to L & L Specialists and has quickly learned the business.
Hershy Hooch Means, our beloved chocolate lab, was born on July 12, 1997, and was chosen for adoption through Ducks Unlimited. Hershy is 9 years old in human years and 52 years old in dog years (but while swimming in the pool--his favorite activity--he acts like he's a teenager!). Hershy has had extensive training that is evident to those who visit our showroom and quickly becomes an instant friend to everyone.
Field Crew Supervisors
Shirley Chandler began her career with L & L Specialists over 25 years ago. Shirley is responsible for overseeing all aspects on the job-site and ensuring that people's possessions are handled in the safest way possible. She is also responsible for the training of all new employees. Shirley's long-term dedication to L & L Specialists and to the clients they serve cannot be understated.
Thomas Wiley worked as a part-time employee at L & L Specialists for 3 years. Realizing his potential, he was hired full time as a supervisor and has been with L & L Specialists in that capacity over 6 years. Thomas, like Shirley, has proven to be a dedicated L & L employee who strives to serve the needs of our clients.
